What does everything weigh?
The empty vest, including the internal tubing and pump, weighs 1 lb 12 oz. The 6 oz battery pack fits comfortably inside the pouch at the back of the vest. For optimal circulation, add one 16 oz frozen ice core and approximately 16 oz of cool water to the reservoir.
How does it work?
Place one reusable ice core containing non-toxic, slow-thawing gel inside the vest reservoir, then fill the reservoir with cool water. The enclosed system circulates the cooled water through internal tubing around the front and back of the vest. The blue circulation lines shown in product images are for illustration and are not visible on the actual vest.
When the vest is switched on, the pump begins circulating the cooled water. As the water moves near the body, it draws away heat before passing through the reservoir to be cooled again by the ice core. The BPA-free polyethylene reservoir helps maintain a lower temperature and extend the cooling life of each ice core.
Keep the included ice cores frozen and ready to swap as needed for continued cooling throughout the day.
